The power of our own words

These are very strange times for me. Being born in the ’80s allowed me to experience life as a human being during my childhood with all its ups and downs, without any technology other than a TV and a radio.

These days, I started receiving emails created by AI from friends and clients. And even though it comes with the best intention from people to deliver a clear message, I wonder…Do people really feel happy replacing themselves with a robot?

I personally believe that when we connect with people in any way, either, email, phone, or in person. There is always this exchange of energy, vibration and intentions that accompany the information that you are delivering. Trusting a machine writing for us, makes all this gone and on the contrary, a lot of hypocrisy in the message it contains. You will never know anymore if this person really meant what is in there.

Languages for generations have been always an important tool, not just to deliver a message but also to deliver emotions, feelings and vibrations on the words people use. This is a personal decision on how you decide to use those words. Many ancestral languages have words that can’t even be translated in English because they contain such expressions that we are not aware of. Even me, I struggle sometimes translating simple phrases from Spanish to English and this because of the lack of words that can’t fully express my emotions so how can we dare to delegate part of our souls to Ai?

But this must be just the beginning. I honestly think that AI is a great tool for routine or hermetic tasks. It can work to fix our mistakes when we write an email but not to replace us instead. I hope that as long as we use Ai more and more often for different reasons, we also become more aware of the boundaries we should create when it compromises our identity. Ai doesn’t have feelings, doesn’t have intentions but we do!

I strongly believe in the frequencies that we can transmit by words to others and this is why I focus my work in documentaries, because seeing real people can inspire us, can teach us and probably motivate us to be that change in the world we want to see.

I highly believe that our only role in this journey on Earth is to learn to be better humans and to connect with people as people, to interact and learn to feel.

I just wanted to share this reflection today as I felt a bit frustrated about receiving Ai emails. I hope that we don’t lose our motivation to communicate in our own words next time and with our own intentions to others.

Have a great weekend my friends!

Ps: This article was completely written without Ai and even though it may contain lots of English mistakes. This still has my soul! 🙂

  1. I don’t feel happy replacing myself with a robot! Thank you for an insightful piece that got me thinking about how AI is making people less good at being humans.
