“Filming, Healthy food, a Sustainable world and Getting inspired; That’s all I want!”
My Background
My name is Lizeth Yarlequé and I’m a fixer, Producer and Documentary Filmmaker/ DOP from Lima, Peru.
This was not always my career as it took me some years to learn about myself to realize that my degree in Architecture wouldn’t take me where I wanted to go. Therefore, after some years of confusion I did the jump and here I am! 🙂
The passion for understanding my culture, its locations, idiosyncrasy and the great connection I have with people has led me to film and work on documentaries aired on the biggest broadcasters from Europe, North America and New Zealand like BNNVARA: Dutch TV, ZDF: German channel, Warner Bros Netherlands, NOP-Dutch TV, ZDF/ARTE German TV, ORF TVTHEK: Austrian TV, Galileo German TV, TF1 French TV, Univision, Discovery channel, CNN, Business Insider, The Goldman Environmental Prize USA, United Nations, SKY News, Bleacher Report, Al Jazeera, TRT World, Banijay Italia, United Nations, Rainforest US and many more.
I am currently the correspondent in Peru for the TV Dutch channel Metropolis in Netherlands.
Why my focus is on stories that can inspire?

I learnt through the years that being a proffesional just because, it means nothing if we don´t have a personal motivation for it. When I lived in Belfast, UK in 2017, I realized that people only knew a bit about Peru and unfortunately mostly the bad News.
Then I realized that I had to do something to start changing it. Peru might be a country with a lot of problems but it also has great people that nobody shows. This is how Humana Films was born, with the conviction that I can show the best of human stories that can inspire others to be better in the world.
In Peru, we still have traditions, we still have cosmovisions and connection with the earth, we still know about medicinal plants, we still have young entrepreneurs that believe in innovating projects! We still socialize easily on the streets, we still do community work, we still meet with others without any special reason, we still laughs and laughs a lot regardless problems and those are unique stories that you can find in different places inside Peru.
About me

I am a person that loves eating and living healthy. I am passionate about life, intense in all the senses and I love to discover things in life every single minute! I believe in the energies of the universe and I do my best to flow with it all the time.
Recently my new passion is to discover medicinal plants and to avoid the use of any industrial medicine. I haven´t taken any antibiotic, or painkiller since 3 years ago. I only use plant essential oils. I’m an active practicer of Acroyoga. I enjoy great talking drinking plant tea or hot chocolate 🙂 Since September 2025 I have been practicing intermitent fasting for 16hrs and I feel amazing!
Partying is not my thing. I prefer to share moments like walkings, go to the beach or go to natural places. I love sunsets and a full moon! Love seeing the ocean. Love doing trekking in the mountains. I love piano music and musicians in general and overall I love talking with people. There is nothing that could replace a special connection to others. I love feeling myself human. 🙂
